Members’ responsibilities

Your vehicle will be a pleasure to drive if you keep to a few simple instructions. Remember drive defensively but if you do have an accident:

  1. Report all accidents to the Car Fund office – regardless of extent of damage – immediately, or first working day after accident. Download our Accident Report Form (.pdf 55kb)
  2. In the event of an accident, you must:
    1. Complete Accident Report Form at the scene. Obtain Registration No. and other driver details and name of their insurance company. Any problems, call the Police.
    2. Transpose details from Accident Report Card to Motor Vehicle Claim Form.
    3. Retain Accident Report Card. Send completed Motor Vehicle Claim Form to Car Fund office. Keep copy of claim for your records.
    4. NB No repairs to be undertaken unless confirmed by Car Fund office.
