How the Trust works
As a Trust member, you make an initial loan investment in the vehicle you wish to purchase and thereafter you pay an annual replacement levy. The Trust provides you with a brand new or pre-owned car in line with your budget. Your vehicle is updated on a regular basis and at any point that you wish to withdraw from the Trust, you recover your initial loan.
The Trust provides you with comprehensive insurance coverage at very competitive rates. We look after licensing requirements and can arrange service contracts at a discounted price. We also organise driver awareness and training seminars for members. Members are required to pay a one-off joining fee to belong to the Trust. There is also provision for a group or community services membership.

The Car Fund was set up by the Catholic Church nearly 25 years ago to meet its transport needs. With a fleet of 350 vehicles, we are ideally placed to offer you substantial discounts and a range of services.
How the Car Fund works
As a Car Fund member, you make an initial investment in the vehicle you wish to purchase. The parish/diocese pays an annual replacement levy and looks after running and maintenance costs. The fund provides you with a brand new or pre-owned car in line with your budget. Your vehicle is updated on a regular basis and membership of the Fund is transferable if you change parishes.
When you leave the Car Fund, you can recover your initial investment or use that investment to purchase a car from the fund outright for your retirement. It’s a very flexible arrangement that gives you great value for your dollar as well as hassle-free motoring.
